Talibra

The stone listens. Now we need to hear it. We're seeking original compositions that evoke the world of Talibra – the low hum of geothermal vents, the weight of the chains, the silence pockets, the grief storms. Your music could become part of the official Talibra canon.

Theme: Any mood or location from Talibra (the obsidian pits, the Violet City, the ninth drift, the listening tower). Instrumental only (vocals allowed as wordless chanting, humming, or field recordings). African instruments encouraged (kora, mbira, talking drum, djembe) alongside ambient and industrial textures.

Technical requirements: 44.1 kHz, 16‑bit WAV or FLAC. Length: 2–5 minutes. Pure grayscale in audio – no lyrics telling the story, only feeling it.

Deadline: October 9th, 2026

Prizes:

• 1st Place: $500 USD + track featured in official Talibra promos + credit as "Contributing Composer" + potential inclusion in future soundtrack album.

• 2nd Place: $250 USD + credit.

• 3rd Place: $100 USD + credit.

• Honorable Mentions (3): $25 Fourthwall store credit + credit.

Submission Guidelines:

• Submit via the form below (upload link or private SoundCloud/YouTube link).

• Include a short statement (max 200 words) describing your inspiration and the instruments/sounds used.

• One entry per person.

Judging Criteria:

• Evocation of Talibra's atmosphere (dark, resonant, grief‑inflected) – 40%

• Originality and emotional impact – 30%

• Technical production quality – 20%

• Use of African/Black musical traditions – 10% (bonus, not required)

Judges: Michael Antonio (creator) + invited guest musicians (to be announced).
